Ambitions/Dreams/Goals ...

Down to the business end ...

As my time at Monash draws to a close, my attention has been turning to life after Uni.

After graduating (hopefully!) in June 2009, I hope to work casually for the remainder of the year to save up enough money to take me overseas. In an ideal world, I would love to live and work in London in 2010/2011, giving me the opportunity to see the rest of Europe through weekend escapes.

Anything to avoid 'the real world' back home!

Where to work?

My course opens a lot of doors for me in the business world. When I was younger, I was extremely passionate about Event Management, but such a cut throat industry is hard to make a start in without very strong connections. As most big event management firms are situated in Sydney, the fact that I haven't already made the move there may be a deciding factor when looking for employment.

Towards the end of my degree, my focus has shifted more towards advertising, coupled with a subject this semester called Advertising Management. I am still not 100% sure if this is the direction that I am looking to take, but valuable connections in this field make the plunge somewhat easier.

What does the future hold?

Family, friends, fun, travel and a premiership for the Dees!

Recent news ...

In July, I left ice-cold Melbourne behind and fled for the European summer and more specifically GREECE.The trip was a once in a lifetime experience as never again will I be able to travel with 21 of my closest friends.

It was the most incredible holiday and being half Greek, I was given the opportunity to visit the
island that my family originates from, on the Ionian Sea, just South of Kefalonia, the island of
Ithaca and home of Odysseus

Interests/Obsessions ...

Gain a little insight ...

I spend every summer at Point Lonsdale on the Bellarine Peninsula. It's an amazing place filled with great friends, beautiful beaches and cosmopolitan shopping and dining. Days blend into one another with endless sunshine, plenty of sunscreen, and the 3 Bs - barbecues, beach cricket and beers.

Point Lonsdale's surf beach is one of the most dangerous in Victoria, along with Porstea back beach, Gunnamatta and Woolamai. This is why a lot of the Point Lonsdale lifestyle centres around the Surf Life Saving Club. I've been involved in the surf club since I was 7 years old and
completed my surf bronze in 2001, allowing me to qualify as a volunteer life saver.

November is one of my favourite times of the year. Once exams are done and dusted, attention switches to dresses, hair colour, nailpolish and tanning for the Spring Carnival! My family's part ownership in a few horses is definitely a bonus.

One of the horses, Swick, won a race on Derby Day last carnvial.

AND PLENTY OF THIS

And finally ...

During February to September, the city is awash with AFL. And I love it. I would much rather spend the afternoon at the MCG watching my beloved Demons play, than going shopping with some girlfriends. I go to every game I can that is played in Melbourne, and while this year was rather forgettable for the mighty red and blue, I was there for one of the greatest combacks in AFL history. Melbourne v Fremantle where a fresh faced star, Austin Wonaeamirri became a cult figure for our club.

I attended Fintona from Prep to Year 12 and the school holds a very strong place in my heart. Fintona is a truely fantastic place to grow and learn and being a member of the Old Fintonians Association provides me with the link I need to keep in touch with the school.
